Belimo is proud to present xBALL, the next generation expansion valve that improves compressor reliability and helps save energy.
xBALL has been designed to regulate evaporator superheat consistently and guarantee proven tightness when closed. In its configuration variant, it can be perfectly integrated into a refrigerating circuit electronic panel and used for any refrigerant flow control. It can be used with a number of natural refrigerants, included propane.
Belimo's first valve for refrigeration, which is ideal for use in chillers, data centres and heat pumps, is an innovation with the best usability and highest quality standards.

Smart and efficient
xBALL can regulate flow optimally for all loads, reducing consumption. It interacts with the main controller, sending feedback automatically, allowing the position to be measured at every moment and constantly monitoring the refrigerant fluid in the circuit.
A clever and convenient solution
Using xBALL simplifies the system by allowing to eliminate solenoid valves.
The in-line seal and anti-locking features reduce wear, lower risk of sticking and extend the system’s life. It also offers the possibility of activating automatic emergency closing in the event of power outage.
Extremely easy to monitor
xBALL can be accessed remotely via the extremely intuitive and easy-to-use Belimo Syncra app that also allows the parameters to be monitored and transferred onto the dedicated cloud.
Ready to use
It is easy not only to install in new systems, but also to replace in existing plants and in integrated systems. Using xBALL 4.0 with integrated controller that enables simple and precise control of the operating parameters directly on site saves you an additional component and therefore costs.

xBALL 4.0 is an intelligent, electronic expansion valve for refrigeration systems that enables high energy savings through precise flow control and efficient partial load optimisation. It has an integrated controller that enables simple and precise control of the operating parameters directly on site. The integrated controller eliminates the additional need for an external control unit, resulting in lower overall costs and simplified system integration. Compatible with A2L/A3 refrigerants.
