Constant flow systems can become inefficient when load profiles change, as they deliver the same flow rate even when the demand changes. This can result in uneven and oscillating operating conditions, thereby negatively impacting energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Additional savings can be achieved by continuously monitoring the delta T of a hydronic circuit and comparing it to the desired delta T setpoint with the Belimo Energy Valve. Suppose the actual delta T falls below the setpoint for a predetermined period. In that case, the Delta T Manager is activated and adjusts the flow until the delta T is at or above the set minimum.
